HiL Test Engineer supports BMS development and system integration. Objectives include developing test procedures for automated execution, implementing tests using Hardware in the Loop equipment, documenting and reviewing execution reports, reporting incidents, and tracking software updates to fix issues.

What you’ll do:

  • Design HiL Systems for BMS and provide engineering expertise in BMS testing/validation

  • Lead testing and validation of BMS hardware/firmware and coordinate with the battery pack team to develop test cases based technical requirement

  • Design test methodology and perform tests to ensure product meets functional requirements, industry specifications and safety requirements

  • Establish automatic testing sequences to validate the testing system

  • Develop and maintain Automation Framework for test automation

  • Utilize HiL systems to improve quality and testing efficiency

  • Develop requirements documentation and hardware/firmware change requests

  • Assist with Battery Module/Pack Testing

  • Collaborative work with mechanical, digital control, thermal design, and manufacturing

 

What you need:

  • A Bachelor's degree (MS is preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field of study

  • 2+ years of HIL testing/validation experience

  • Knowledge in automotive vehicle mechanical and electrical system including BUS communication protocol (CAN/LIN)

  • Expertise in CAN communication protocol and its Vector tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe and CANape.

  • Experience with NI, dSPACE, and/or Vector HIL tools 

  • Experience with Matlab, Simulink/Stateflow, C, CAPL and Python

  • Experience with developing automated test cases

  • Good knowledge of Design Failure mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA). 

  • Strong background with debugging tools (e.g. DMM, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Function Generator) Familiar with GIT version control

  • Basic knowledge of automotive vehicle standards

 

Extras:

  • Ability to speak and write Mandarin Chinese 

  • 2+ years of BMS testing/validation

  • Experience in ISO 26262 standard 

  • Experience with battery testing equipment

  • Experience in electric battery systems and electrified vehicle operations

  • Occasional international travel is expected for this position.
